Our Wines |
|
|
We believe that winemaking begins
in the vineyard and at Cooper
Vineyards, farming in the
Shenandoah Valley of Amador
County spans five generations.
Cooper history is embedded in the
soil our vines thrive in. Thanks to
the winemaking talent of Michael
Roser, we offer an exciting portfolio
of seventeen wines. Our boutique
production of hand-crafted wines
allows us to sell out frequently,
often within six months of a release
date. When you find a favorite, we
encourage you to order early.

Current Releases
Sauvignon Blanc 2005 ($15)
Grass + Lemon Lime + Pink Grapefruit + Kiwi + Tangerine + Mango +
Peach + Juicy Pear = mmmmmmm! (Flavor combination courtesy of
Wine X Magazine Jellybean Wine Bar jellybeanwinebar.com)

Roussanne 2005 ($17)
Smooth, spicy and everything nice-ey. Green apples and toasty oak flavors
in this sassy, winter white wine. Says one wine maker, "It's
like a chardonnay
with a tiny pine tree on top."

Alicante Bouschet 2005 ($25)
This hybrid of the Petite Boushet and Grenache, Alicante Bouschet is one
of the unique grapes that when crushed produces a juicy red color.
Ours shows bright fruit with a spicy kick on the finish.

Barbera 2005 ($25)
Vibrant fruit character and soft, velvety tannins invite easy and early
enjoyment of this vintage. Excellent acidity enhances layers of ripe plums,
currants and smoky notes from barrel aging. Complements full meals
and late night tapas.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 ($22)
We're bringing sexy back with out El Dorado County Cabernet. Bold berry
flavors, broodingly opulent, and glycerol legs. If it were a lover, you
wouldn't let this one go.

Syrah 2005 ($21)
The day the Fricken-Chicken crossed the highway, he was aggressively
persuaded through the Syrah vineyards, with wine-box-shields, home to
safety. The same estate vineyards produce this articulate, crisp, and
spicy
Syrah. One sip and you'll know why Fricken-Chicken crossed the road!

Petite Sirah 2004 ($22)
McDreamy out of town? McSteamy on another date? Curl up with our Petite
Sirah on a cold winter night. Firm tannins with a delicate balance of
fruit and
spice make this vintage McLovely.

Orange Muscat 2005 ($10)
Drizzled over fresh fruit, frozen like a sorbet, blended with vanilla
ice cream
for a milkshake. This dessert wine is clean and pretty...it's the schizz-nizzle.
